We’ve created this tea to reflect our company motto that inner beauty is just as important as outer beauty.

Keeping with the concept that beautiful hair starts within the body, our “Healthy Hair and Skin” blend of herbal tea uses 7 different types of Kampo, including a  kampo with anti-aging effects. Highly recommended for mature women!

Yakuzen Tea

Also known as Kampo tea, this herbal tea has roots in China and was developed for use in traditional Japanese medicine.

The makers of Yakuzen tea collect plants and raw, natural ingredients with medicinal capabilities, then combine those materials in drinkable form to best fit the body type and condition of those who consume it.

What is Kanpo

Fundamental to Kampo is the idea that the human body is part of nature.

This approach demands that we examine the patient’s whole person and not just their sickness. It means treating patients comprehensively in body and mind, rather than focusing on a single part of the body that is ailing.

Kampo also is rooted in the concept that the human body has significant inherent power to treat and repair itself.

Kampo/herbal medicine contains many ingredients found in nature. Components are derived from plants, animals, and minerals in nature, and each medicine uses at least 2 or more herbs.

The most effective results come from this combination of herbs working together as a whole, as opposed to the sum of each individual herb working on its own.

※Herbs are the ingredients that make up Kampo.

Conceptually, Kampo is closely related to the ideas and goals of Yakuzen, or medicinal cooking. The main difference is that kampo turns herbs into medicine, while Yakuzen puts the herbs in consumable form. In short, Yakuzen Tea is Kampo that you can drink!
